D. L. KOSTENBADER PASSES SUDDENLY

It was with deep regret and sympathy that the people of Payette learned Monday afternoon that D. L. Kostenbader, a long time resident of Payette had succumbed suddenly that afternoon to a heart attack at the W. J. Reimers. Mr. Kostenbader was assisting Mr. Reimers in putting up some hay and about three o'clock in the afternoon, Mr. Reimers went after a bucket of salt, and upon returning found Mr. Kostenbader lying in the hay loft groaning and he passed away before he could be reached. He was about 72 years old at the time of his passing. He, with his family came to Payette about 1904 and purchased the place on which he was living at the time of his death.

All during his life he has been a very active member of the Masonic Lodge, being a member more than fifty years. His wife passed away several years ago and one son about a year ago leaving three children to mourn his passing. Funeral services were held today (Thursday) from the Landon Funeral Home and interment was made in Riverside Cemetery. A complete obituary will be in next weeks paper.
