Dillon Linder Follows Wife In Death
Dillon R. Linder, 73, whose wife died May 13, followed her in death only four days later on May 17. Death came at the Payette General hospital where he had been receiving treatment.
Dillon Robert Linder was born June 27, 1867 in Kirksville, Mo., the son of Mr. and Mrs. William Linder.
At an early age he moved with his parents to Sylvan Grove, Kan. where he was married to Clara N. Best in April, 1891. They resided in Sylvan Grove until 1913 when they moved to Payette, where they have since made their home.
Five children were born to them, only two of whom survive, Lloyd F. and Muriel, both of Payette. Other survivors are five grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Jennie Meitler, Sylvan Grove, Kan., and Mrs. Nan Schaeffer, Grand Island, Neb.; four brothers, John, Bill and Arthur of Sylvan Grove and Charles of New Plymouth. He and his wife had made their home with their son, Lloyd for a number of years.
Funeral services were held Monday afternoon in the Payette Baptist church, the Rev. O. M. Strong officiating. Interment was at the Riverside cemetery with the Landon Funeral home in charge of arrangements.
