PAYETTE - Floss M. Lockhart, 88, Payette, died Tuesday, Jan. 13, 1987, in a Payette nursing home. Services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday in Shaffer-Jensen Chapel, Payette, with Rev. Robert Hefty of the Payette First United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery, Payette.

She was born June 10, 1898, in Marshall, Minn., the daughter of Jens and Alma Christensen. She moved with her parents to Payette in 1913. She married Floyd Lockhart on May 16, 1937, at Weiser. She worked for over 30 years for Mountain Bell at Payette, and at the time of her retirement was a chief operator. She was a member of the First United Church, Payette.

She is survived by her husband Floyd of Payette; two sisters, Pearl Ferrell, Emmett; and Hazel Ensign, Santa Monica, Calif.; two grandchildren, Dennis Lockhart, Atlanta, Georgia; and Leslynn Lockhart, Bakesfield, Calif.; and a great grandchild. She was preceded in death by a son Gerald.

Memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church, Payette. Friends may call today from 4-9 p.m. at the Shaffer-Jensen Chapel, Payette.
