Alice M. Lockner of Fruitland, Dies
PAYETTE (Special) -- Mrs. Alice Melcher Lockner, 63, a long-time resident of the Fruitland community, died Tuesday in an Ontario, Ore., hospital.
She was born Oct. 19, 1887, at Castelia, S. D., an moved to Fruitland in 1902 from Albion, Neb. She was a member of the Methodist church.
Surviving are her husband, George Lockner, Fruitland; two sons, Elmer and Glen, both of Fruitland; a daughter, Mrs. Lavina Swartwood, Astoria, Ore.; two sisters, Mrs. Edith Boor and Mrs. Gertrude Lynn, both of Fruitland; two brothers, Bert Melcher, Tacoma, Wash., and Ira Melcher, Fruitland, and four grandchildren.
Services are pending at Shaffer Memory chapel.
