Ellouise M. Lockner, age 83, died Monday, Dec. 2, 2002 at Wellsprings Assisted Living Facility following a lengthy illness. Graveside services will be held 2 p.m., Friday, Dec. 6, at Riverside Cemetery, Payette. Pastor Emeritus Earl Traughber and Pastor Bill Frey will officiate.
Friends may call from 3-7 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 5, at the Shaffer-Jensen Memory Chapel, Fruitland. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Shaffer-Jensen Memory Chapel, Fruitland.
Ellouise was born Aug. 24, 1919 at Payette, Idaho. She graduated from Payette High School and went to the College of Idaho in Caldwell. Ellouise married Elmer Lockner in 1940 and they had one son. She was a long-time resident of the Fruitland area and a member of the Fruitland Church of the Brethren. For many years she enjoyed life on the farm, as well as camping and fishing with family and friends. She was always a cat lover, the strays knew her well.
Ellouise is survived by her son, Larry Lockner and his wife, Helen of Spring, Texas; a grandson, Jerry Lockner of Boise; a granddaughter, Tricia Nilsen and her husband Pete, of Seattle, Wash.; three great-grandchildren. Renee' Lockner of Clinton, Conn; Halen and Hunter Nilsen of Seattle, WA; as will as numerous other relatives and friends.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Elmer "Shorty" Lockner in 1980, and her parents, Herman and Crete Mackey.
