FRUITLAND, Graveside services for Elmer "Shorty" Lockner 64, Fruitland, who died of natural causes Sunday in an Ontario hospital, will be conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Riverside Cemetery, Payette, by Pastor Donald Spencer, court Street Christian Church, Salem, Ore., under the direction of the Shaffer-Jensen Chapel, Fruitland.

He was born May 31, 1915, in Fruitland, where he was reared and educated. He married Elouise Mackey on Sept. 28, 1940, in Caldwell. He farmed at Fruitland. He was a member of the Methodist Church.

Survivors include his wife of Fruitland; a son, Larry of Houston; a brother, Glenn of Fruitland; a sister, Lavina Swartwood of Oak Harbor, Wash.; two grand-children Jerry and Tricia Lockner; and several nieces and nephews.

Friends may call today at the Fruitland Shaffer-Jensen Chapel from 3 p.m. until 9 p.m.

Memorials may be made to the Fruitland Church of the Brethren or to a favorite charity.
