Aged Fruitland Man Passes on Saturday
PAYETTE - Gaines Hasson Looney of Fruitland died in a Payette hospital Saturday at the age of 72.
Born in Rogersville, Tennessee August 21, 1875, Looney came to Fruitland from Bend in 1921. He was a retired stockman.
Surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Myrtle E. Charles of Fruitland; and Mrs. Lydia Brotherton, Sargonsville, Tennessee, and a brother, Estarrn Looney of Rogersville. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.
Services will be announced later by the Landon Shaffer funeral chapel in Payette.
