Graveside services for Arthur H. Loper, 72, of Payette, who died Friday, Aug. 10, 1984, in an Ontario hospital, were conducted Tuesday in Riverside Cemetery, Payette, with Rev. Don Davis officiating, under direction of Shaffer-Jensen Chapel, Payette.
He was born Feb. 15, 1912, at Guide Rock, Neb., the son of Henry and Tillie Loper. He was raised and educated in Nebraska. He married Naomi Hilliard on May 11, 1936 at Bartlett, Neb. They moved to Payette in 1946, where they owned and operated Loper's garage until he retired in 1977.
Survivors include his wife, Naomi of Payette; two daughters, Mrs. Pat "Pat" Dille of Butte, Mont.; Mrs. Roberta Marsh of Poulsbo, Wash.; two sisters, Elsie Schamp of Bord, Neb.; Ethel Ripslysgar of Lexington, Neb. and seven grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother.
