Final Tribute Paid To Walter Mahoney
Final tribute was paid Sunday at the Baptist church to Walter Mahoney who died May 2 at Nyssa. Landon's were in charge of arrangements and burial was in Riverside cemetery, Rev. C. M. Strong officiated.
Walter Mahoney was born Dec. 31, 1883, in Fairbury, Neb., and was married Jan. 1, 1907, to May Preston, in 1930 the family moved to Payette and then to Nyssa 14 years ago. He is survived by his widow and a daughter, Mrs. Cecil Bogard of Tacoma. A son died in infancy. He also leaves his mother, Mrs. J. W. Mahoney of Payette, three brothers, D. C. of Pendleton, Pat of Nampa and H. L. of Jamison, Oregon; four sisters, Mrs. John Frazier, Mrs. Wm Bosch, Mrs. Harry Lattig and Mrs. Lloyd Linder, all of Payette; a grandson, Leo Vanatta of Tacoma, and several nieces and nephews.
