Last Rites Held for Alfred J. Main, 60
Services were conducted Monday for Alfred Joseph Main, 60, of Fruitland, who died last Wednesday when he was hit by a truck near Fruitland.
He was born Sept. 17, 1900, in Liberty, Nebr., and came to Payette from South Dakota 18 years ago.
Survivors include five sons, John of Fruitland, Lyle of North Park, Colo., Joseph of Neward, N.J., Melvin of Seattle, and Avery of Boise; three daughters, Miss Ramona Main and Mrs. Lois Cantrell of Dana, Calif., Miss Alice Main of Coos Bay, Ore.; his step-mother, Mrs. Ella Main of Payette; two brothers, John of Portland, and Omar of Parma; two sisters, Mrs. Fern Bradley of Hudson, Colo., and Mrs. Rose Bodkin of Phillip, S.D., six half-brothers and one half-sister.
Services were conducted Monday afternoon at 2 p.m. at the Shaffer chapel with the Rev. William Clark officiating and interment was held at Riverside.
