ONTARIO - Services for Samuel Perry McBride, 72, of the Oregon Slope, who died Friday at an Ontario hospital will be Tuesday at 2:00 p.m. Aug. 12 at the Bible Baptist Church in Payette by Pastor Gene Lewin and Pastor Fred Sheldon. Interment will follow at the Riverside Cemetery under the direction of Shaffer-Jensen Memory Chapel in Payette.

He was born Dec. 8, 1902, in Newburg, Mo. He moved with his family to North Idaho in 1911. They lived there until 1916 and then homesteaded northwest of Ontario. He married Opal Stegner March 20, 1927. They lived on the Oregon Slope where he farmed and was a ditch rider. He was the superintendent of the Ontario High School.

He was a member of the American Sunday School Union.

Surviving are his wife, Opal McBride, of the Oregon Slope; four daughters, Mrs. Ali (Eunice) Guerrant, of Weiser, Mrs. Lee (Helen) McNinch, of Colville, Wash., Pamela McBride, of Salem, Ore., and Mary McBride, of Tigard, Ore.; a brother, Dr. Frank McBride, of Beaverton, ore.; nine grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
