PAYETTE - Services for Lee McCracken, 70, Payette, who died Thursday in an Ontario hospital, were conducted Wednesday in Shaffer-Jensen Chapel, Payette, by the Rev. Arlen Benson of the Payette Assembly of God Church. Interment followed in Riverside Cemetery, Payette.
He was born Feb. 8, 1910, in Bowie, Texas, to James and Viola McCracken. He was reared and educated in Texas and Colorado. He married Dorothy Brizendini on Dec. 5, 1932, in Las Vegas, N.M. In 1942 they moved to California where he worked in shipyards during World War II. After the war they moved to San Pablo, Calif., and McCracken worked for more than 30 years as an automobile mechanic in Richmond, Calif. They moved to Payette in 1965. He retired in 1972. He was a member of the Payette Assembly of God Church.
Survivors include his wife and a son, Walter, both of Payette; a daughter, Mrs. James (Donna) Burkhart of Greenville, Texas; two brothers, George of Los Animas, Colo., and Robert of Brush, Colo.; a sister Hattie Mays of Lucerne, Calif.; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter.
