Mrs. Stella McGill
Services were conducted Monday at the Shaffer-Jensen Memory chapel, 78, Payette, Josephine McGill, 8,(as it appeared in the paper) Payette who died last Wednesday at The Payette Valley Sanitarium.
The Rev. Herschell Hall of the United Methodist church officiated and interment was at Riverside.
Born December 16, 1889, in Centralia, Ill., she came to Payette in 1901 and was married in Payette in 1906 to Fred E. Smith. They lived in the Payette and Fruitland areas for a number of years. Mr. Smith died in 1941. She moved to Boise in 1942 and was married to Fred. O. McGill at Ely, Nev., in 1950. He died in 1963. That year she moved to Payette, where she had lived since.
Surviving are a son, Vernon Smith of Kansas City, Mo.; a daughter, Mrs. Evajane Neal of Payette; two step-sons, Wally McGill and George McGill, both of Boise; a step-daughter in Idaho Falls; a sister, Mrs. Hallie Montgomery of Quincy, Ill., 15 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. A daughter and two brothers preceded her in death.
