Frank Edgar Melcher was born at Boon, Neb., Aug. 17, 1897 and passed away Oct. 28, 1940, age 43 years, 2 months, 11 days, the son of Mr. and Mrs. William Melcher. He, with his parents, came to Payette in 1902 and made his home. He was married to Miss Eva Belisle of Ontario May 19, 1932 at Vale, Oregon. To this union one son was born. He leaves to mourn him the son, Lyle, age 6 years, two brothers, Bert Melcher of Tacoma, Wash., Ira, of Fruitland, three sisters, Mrs. C. E. Boor of Fruitland, Mrs. James Lynn and Mrs. Geo. Lockner, all of Fruitland. Funeral services conducted at the Landon funeral home by Rev. Walter Coffman of Fruitland and burial was beside his parents at Riverside cemetery, Payette.
