A. Mickelson Dies at Boise

Andrew Mickelson, 74, Payette, died late Sunday evening at a Boise hospital after a long illness. Mr. Mickelson was born February 10, 1892, at Sioux Rapids, Iowa. He moved from Coberg, Ore., to the Payette community in 1899. He married Hazel Saling on June 26, 1915, at Weiser. She died June 21, 1949. Also preceding him in death were a brother and four sisters.

Surviving are six daughters, Mrs. Marian Mordhorst, Mrs. Geraldine Jacobs, and Mrs. Ruby Grove, all of Payette; Mrs. Lucille Bowman of Salmon, Mrs. Marjorie Jacobs of Roseville, Calif., and Mrs. Carol Pink of Lancaster, Wis.; a brother, Charles Mickelson of San Francisco; three sisters, Mrs. Annette Mahnkin of Buhl, and Miss Esther Mickelson and Miss Bertha Mickelson, both of Los Gatos, Calif.; 19 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Services were conducted today (Wednesday) at Shaffer Memory chapel in Payette by the Rev. Palmer Wylde of the Episcopal church. Interment followed at Riverside cemetery here.
