Moses Hawkins Succumbs at 80
Moses Hawkins Mitchell, 80, Payette, died Sunday in an Ontario nursing home after a lengthy illness.
He was born February 1, 1887, in La Grande, Ore. After living for 25 years in Klamath Falls, Ore., he moved in 1961 to Payette, where he had lived since.
Survivors include two nieces, Mrs. Olathe Forbes of Payette and Mrs. Maxine Homsher of Ontairo, and a nephew, William D. Mitchell of Springfield, Ore.
Graveside services were conducted Tuesday at Riverside cemetery in Payette by the Rev. Wesley G. Jones of the Ontario Presbyterian church. Shaffer Memory chapel handled arrangements.
