Services for Bert Moggridge, 77, Payette, who died at his home north of Payette Saturday evening following a long illness, will be conducted at 3 p.m. Tuesday at the St. James Episcopal church, Payette, with the Rev. William B. Spofford, Jr., officiating.

Interment will follow at Riverside and military honors will be performed by the Payette National Guard and American Legion.

He was born August 19, 1889, in Exmouth, England. He came from England to the Payette community in 1909 and remained here the rest of his life. He was a fruit farmer. He was married to Lillian Cox on July 25, 1915, at Weiser.

During World War I, he served in the Canadian 29th Vancouver battalian. He was a member of the Episcopal church, the Canadian Legion and the Idaho Horticultural association. He was also a charter member of the Orchard Avenue Grange.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Lillian Moggridge, Payette; a son, Jack Moggridge, a daughter, Mrs. Mary Jane Lee, all of Payette, and several nieces and nephews; six grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.
