Last Rites Held For Joseph Clinton Moss
Services were held Wednesday for Joseph Clinton Moss, 79, of Payette who died in an Ontario hospital early Sunday morning following a brief illness.
Mr. Moss was born July 30, 1870, in McDonough county, Ill., and came to the Payette community in 1943 from Kimball, Neb. He had resided at Payette form that time until his death.
Surviving are his wife, Iva, of Payette; three sons, Rommell E. and Keith G. Moss both of Nyssa, and Trenton Moss of Payette, one daughter, Mrs. Marion Selover of Payette; one sister, Mrs. Mary Metcalf of Blandinsville, Ill., and 20 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
The services were held at 2 p.m. at the Shaffer Memory chapel with Elder Dale Greathouse of the Primitive Baptist church of Harrisburg, Neb., officiating. Interment was at Riverside cemetery.
