Death of J. W. Newcom

J. W. Newcom, whose foot was recently amputated at Pearl as the result of an accident in which a wagon was turned over on him, died at that place Tuesday, blood poisoning having set in. Mrs. Newcom, who had gone to Pearl to attend her husband, brought the body to Payette and yesterday morning funeral services were conducted from the family residence in the northern portion of the city. Rev. W. E. Bobbitt officiated. The remains were laid to rest in Riverside cemetery.
