ONTARIO - James E. Oden, 78, Ontario, died Sunday, Nov. 9, 1980, in an Ontario hospital. Graveside services were conducted at 10 a.m. Friday in the Riverside Cemetery, Payette, with Rev. Earl Traughber of the Fruitland Church of the Brethren officiating, under the direction of Shaffer-Jensen Chapel, Payette.
He was born Sept. 5, 1908, in Yakima, Wash., the son of Lawrence and Rebecca Oden. He married Geraldine in 1938 in Seattle. They were later divorced. He lived many years in Seattle and had moved to the Ontario area in about 1970.
He is survived by one brother, Lester Oden of Nyssa.
