PAYETTE - A truck accident near Mt. Shasta, Calif. claimed the life of Kenneth Stewert Oster Thursday.

Dr. Leonard Reifel, St. John's Church of Christ, Payette will conduct services at 11 a.m. on Tuesday at Shaffer-Jensen Chapel, Payette. Riverside Cemetery, also Payette, is site of interment.

Kenneth Oster was born Oct. 8, 1950 in Payette and attended schools in Odgen, Utah; Tuscon, Ariz. and Roland Heights, Calif. He and Katha Tompkins were married Jan. 10, 1969 in Hacienda Heights, Calif. In 1874 he was employed by May Trucking Co. in Payette as a mechanic and driver and in 1979 he began driving for the D. and B. Trucking Co., Payette. He leased back to May Trucking in March of this year.

Surviving are his wife Katha and daughter Jamie, Ontario; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Don Oster, Boise; paternal grandparents W. E. and Esther Oster, Payette and three sisters, Mrs. Terry (Lana Christine) Rathbun, Laguna Hills, Calif., Jeanne Kathleen and Kerri Susanne Oster, Boise residents.

Friends may visit the chapel Monday, 3-9 p.m.
