Myrtle L. Pearson

Myrtle L. Pearson, 87, Union City, Calif., formerly of Payette, a homemaker, died May 15, 1994, in a Fremont, Calif.. hospital. Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Riverside Cemetery, Payette, with Pastor Joe Barnett of the Ontario Assembly of God Church will officiate, under the direction of Shaffer-Jensen Memory Chapel, Payette.

She was born April 11, 1907, at Baker, the youngest of 10 children of John and Minnie Kissell. She was raised and educated in Baker until the age of 14 when her family moved to Middleton. She finished her schooling in Middleton, but also lived in Eagle and Kuna as a young woman. She married Walter J. Pearson on Nov. 18, 1928, at Boise. They moved to Payette in 1929 and made it their permanent home, with Walter working for Stanton Transfers and the Payette County Sheriff.

Survivors include a son, Roy R. Pearson of Richmond, Calif.; a sister-in-law, Fay Garner and her husband, Ellison Garner of Ontario. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, six brothers and three sisters.
