HERMAN PLOTE

PAYETTE - Herman Plote, 86, of Payette, died Tuesday at a Payette nursing home. Services ere conducted Saturday at 11:30 a.m. at the Pilgrim Lutheran Church in Ontario by Pastor Harry Spaude. Interment followed in Riverside Cemetery under the direction of the Shaffer Jensen chapel in Payette.

He was born Dec. 11, 1891, at Plato Township, Ill., where he was reared and educated. He married Sophia Nesler March 28, 1915, at North Plato, Ill. He attended the Greer Automotive School in Chicago and later moved to Burlington, Ill. They lived in Burlington until 1920, when they moved to Elgin, Ill. He was a funeral director in Elgin for 37 years. They moved to Idaho in 1959.

He was a member of the Pilgrim Lutheran Church of Ontario.

Surviving are his wife of Payette; a son, Donne L. of Scipuate, Mass.; a daughter, Mrs. Emil (Alice) Fruechtenichi of Payette; a brother, Ernst of Hampshire, Ill.; three sisters, Mrs. William (Anna) Totenhagen of Bartlett, Ill.; Mrs. Carl (Clara) Jensen of Montello, Wis.; and Mrs. Edward (Ida) Wesemann of Hampshire, Ill.; four grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a daughter, a sister, and five brothers.

Memorials may be made to the Pilgrim Lutheran Church, Ontario.
