Payette Youth Dies Suddenly
Lester L. Reimers, 20, Stricken At Home Friday Night

Lester Lynn Reimers, 20, a 1947 Payette High School graduate died unexpectedly at the home of his parents, Mr. And Mrs. Lester T. Reimers, Friday evening, July 25.

The young man had been down town earlier in the evening, and as far as his friends could tell, he was feeling and looking well as usual. A physician was called at once when the youth was stricken shortly before 9:30 p.m., but all efforts at resuscitation failed. He died within a few minutes.

Lester, known to his friends as "Corky" was born in Payette February 20, 1927. He attended city schools and was a 1947 graduate of Payette high school.

He is survived by his parents: two aunts, Mrs. Mabel Etta Floyd, Marianna, Fla. and Mrs. Edna May Harper, Elko, Nev.; and four uncles, Harry Parker, Burns, Ore., Emmett H. Parker, Drewsey, Ore., W.D. Parker, Milton, Wn., and Leland G. Reimers, Payette. There are several cousins.

Cause of death was not determined, according to a report from the Landon-Shaffer Funeral Home.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Landon-Shaffer Funeral home with vault interment following at Riverside Cemetery under direction of Landon-Shaffer. Re. E.J. Glover conducted services.
