Pauline Elizabeth Remington-Tomjack, 101, Ontario, passed away Saturday, April 4, 2009, at an Ontario care center. Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Friday April 10, 2009, at Lienkaemper Chapel, Ontario, with interment following at Riverside Cemetery, Payette. Pauline was born on June 6, 1907, in Beaver Crossing, Neb. She married Clair Remington in Julesburg, Neb., on Nov. 27, 1926. They moved to Idaho in 1944 to farm west of New Plymouth. Clair passed away in 1965 and later, in 1975, Pauline married Walter Tomjack. Walter preceded her in death in 2004. Pauline was very active throughout her life in community activities and served as past worthy matron of the Order of Eastern Star in Payette and was active in the Daughters of the Nile in Boise. She was an organist at Fruitland’s Church of the Brethren for many years and had also taught music lessons.

She was also preceded in death by her son, Keith Remington, in 2004, and grandson, Lloyd Moline. She is survived by her three daughters, Ruth R. (Glenn) Hill, of Ontario, Nancy Whetton, of Ontario, Beverly (Duane) Hess, of Weiser; grandchildren, Paula, Marsha, Michael, Timothy, Kathy, Vicki, Greg, Jeffrey and Thomas; 10 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
