Lon A. Robinette, 65, Payette, died June 10, 1994, in a Boise hospital following heart surgery. Virgil services were 7:30 p.m. June 13 at Shaffer-Jensen Memory Chapel, Payette. Funeral Mass was celebrated at 8 p.m. June 14 at Holy Family Catholic Church in Payette, with Father Jerry Dye as celebrant. Inurnment will be at a later date at Riverside Cemetery, Payette.

Lon was born July 17, 1928 in Elizabethton, Tenn., a son of Lon James and Helen Edith Robinette. His family moved to Emmett when he was 3, and he attended school there. He graduated from Whitman College, Walla Walla, Wash., in 1951. He served in the U.S. Army from 1951 to 1953. He married Marie Nelson on Nov. 9, 1958 in Payette, where they resided. He was employed by Wells and Davies in Payette until 1970. He was then employed as manager of Weiser Feed and Storage for nearly 20 years, retiring in June, 1991.

Survivors include his wife Marie, of Payette; two daughters, Lonna Bauer of Moscow, Idaho and Rita Birlson of Vancouver, Wash.; one son, Matthew Robinette of Fort Sill, Okla.; and two granddaughters, Hannah Bauer and Rhea Birlson.

The family suggests memorials be made to the University of Idaho foundation - U of I Library; Holy Rosary Medical Center or a charity of the donor's choice, care of Shaffer-Jensen Memory Chapel, P.O. Box 730, Payette, ID 83661.
