Well-Known Fruitland Matron Dies Friday - Buried Monday

MRS. ETTA ROYSTON

Lillyette Caroline Eaton was born Jan, 17, 1861 in Trenton, Dodge County, Wisconsin and passed away at her home in Fruitland on Jan. 19, 1939, after two years of patient suffering.

She was married to John M. Royston in Balitomore, Marrand, on Feb. 28, 1883.

To that union thirteen children were born, four of whom preceded her in death.

In 1906 she moved from Nebraska to Payette Valley where she has since made her home.

She leaves to mourn her loss, four daughters, Mrs. Myrtle Oates of Boise, Idaho; Claire Royston of Chicago, Ill.; Mrs. Irma Jaeger of Portland, Ore.; and Mrs. Chas. Davis of Fruitland; five sons, John of Prosser, Nebraska, Charles, Schuyler and Lafe of Fruitland, and Earl of Ashland, Ore., one sister, Mrs. Minnie Shafer of Payette and four brothers, Charles, Bruce and Lewis Eaton of Nebraska, and Lafe Eaton of Melba, Idaho, eleven grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

Her husband preceded her in death on April 15, 1915.

The funeral was held in the M. E. church in Fruitland on Sundaf at 2:30. Interment was in Riverside cemetery at Payette, under direction of Lyndon Funeral home.

The many beautiful flowers were a mute testimony of the love and esteem of the friends of this good woman.
