Memorial services for Lafe T. "Biz" Royston, 88, of Fruitland, who died Friday, Feb. 17, 1984, in a Boise hospital of natural causes, will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 23, at the Church of the Brethren, Fruitland, with Rev. Earl Traughber, pastor, and Sam Ralston, Jr. officiating. Services are under direction of Mountain View Funeral Home, Boise.

Mr. Royston was born in Arapahoe, Neb., on Feb. 14, 1896. He graduated from Fruitland High School and attended the College of Idaho for one and one-half years. He was a WWI veteran serving in the 66th field Artillery Brigade in Germany and France from 1917 to 1919. He married Florence L. Anderson in 1937 in Caldwell, Idaho. He worked for Payette County as a wide road supervisor for 25 years, retiring at the age of 74. He was a member of the American Legion Post No. 22, Payette.

Survivors include his wife, Florence Royston of Fruitland; a sister, Irma Jaeger of Los Angeles, Calif.; a brother S. C. Royston of Payette; and several nieces, nephews and friends.
