Laid to Rest
The funeral services of Peter J. Russell, the unfortunate young railroad man who was killed by a special train last Thursday night near Ontario while attempting to remove a hand car from the track, were held on Saturday afternoon in Washoe, from the residence of his father-in-law, Jacob Stroup. The services were conducted by the Knights of Pythias lodge of Ontario of which deceased was a member. The remains were laid to rest in Riverside cemetery. Mrs. Russell, the widow, has lived in the Payette Valley from early girlhood and the heartfelt sympathy of her many friends goes out to her and her little children in this hour of their sad bereavement.
