Wheeler Ellsworth Scott

Wheeler Ellsworth Scott, son of Mr. and Mrs. Curtis Scott of this city, died Wednesday afternoon at 5:30 o’clock as the result of an attack of spinal meningitis. He was eight years, six months and five days of age. The funeral took place Thursday afternoon at 3 o’clock from the Christian church, having been conducted by the pastor, Rev. W. E. Bobbitt. The remains were tenderly laid to rest in Riverside cemetery. Beautiful floral pieces were presented by the W. C. T. U. and others, and by his teacher in the public schools, Miss Hanigan, and scholars, who attended the funeral of their deceased schoolmate in a body. The bereaved parents have the sincere sympathy of the entire community in their affliction.
