Payette Pays Last Tribute To Couple

Mr. and Mrs. C. B. Sherwood

Payette paid its last respects to Mr. and Mrs. Clarence B. Sherwood Saturday morning at 10 o'clock when they were laid to rest in Riverside Cemetery.

Services were conducted at the Landon Funeral Home with Mr. and Mrs. Sleep of the Ontario Christian Science Church as the Readers.

The pallbearers for Mildred Brown Sherwood were women from the Eastern Star.

The pallbearers for Clarence Sherwood were John D. Gilmore, John Kenward, Doctor Belknap, Ray Lyons, Keith Anderson and Jim Baldridge of the 20-30 club.

The stores of Payette remained closed during the funeral services and the Sherwood funeral was considered one of the largest to be held in Payette.

The pallbearers for Mildred Brown Sherwood were Marguerite Fitch, Helen Dunn, Cecil Swanson, Mary Wade, Janet Ballenger and Mayme Rose, members of the Eastern Star.
