Pioneer Matron Buried Thursday
Funeral services were held on Thursday, today, for Catherine Short Alspaugh, 76, who passed away the forepart of the week. Rev. Walsh, of the Church of the Holy Family officiated at the service and interment was made in Riverside cemetery.
Mrs. Alspaugh was born January 5, 1876 at Scottsville, Missouri and has been a resident of Payette since 1892.
Surviving are four sons, John E. Short, and Chester W. Short, both of Boise; Charles B. Short, Wilder and Patrick H. Short, Klamath Falls, Oregon and one daughter, Ruth C. Prestel, Grants Pass, Oregon.
