MRS. PETE SODJA DIES AT HER HOME

We learn just before going to press that Mrs. Pete Sodja passed away at her home just north of town at an early hour this (Thursday) morning. Cancer was the cause of her death. A complete obituary will be published in next week's issue.

Mrs. Peter Sodja

The subject of this sketch was born in Austria, April 23, 1869, and died at the ranch home on the Payette Heights, Wednesday, December 6, 1922, from enlargement of the liver, and had been ill a little over a year. In 1891 she married Peter Sodja at Butte, Montana, and resided there until a few years ago when they moved to Idaho.

Nine children are left to mourn their loss-6 boys and 3 girls, Rude, Frank, Edward Joseph, William, and Peter are the sons, while Rose Sodja, Mary Van Valvelkenburg and Genevieve Sodja are the daughters. Besides her husband she leaves 3 sisters to mourn her loss-Mrs. Kate Spehan of Anaconda, Montana, and two in Austria.

Mrs. Sodja was a woman who was well respected by all her friends and neighbors, her children held her in the highest regard, she was a good and faithful wife. All her children were at her bedside when she passed away.

The funeral was held at the Holy Family Catholic church, Rev. Father Ryan officiating, and remains interred in Riverside cemetery.
