Payette - Louise M. Solterbeck, 95, Payette, a homemaker, died August 19, 1987, in an Ontario nursing home. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, in the Shaffer-Jensen Chapel, Payette. Dr. Leonard Reifel will officiate. Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery, Payette.
She was born March 4, 1892, at Reinbeck, Iowa, a daughter of Bernhard and Christina Meeves Strohbehn. She moved with her parents to Payette in 1902. She married Heinrich "H.B." Solterbeck on Dec. 20, 1915, at Payette. They farmed for many years in Payette. He died in 1970. She was a charter member of St. John's United Church of Christ, Payette; a member of the Order of Eastern Star, Payette; and the 4L Club.
Survivors include three sons, Claude and Allen Solterbeck, both of Payette, and Robert Solterbeck of Henderson, Texas; three daughters, Marilyn Harris of Ontario, Shirley Wayman of Hayden Lake and Fern Klein of Nyssa; a sister, Rose Solterbeck of Gladstone; 16 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; and a nephew, Hans C. Solterbeck of Payette.
Memorials may be made to St. John's United Church of Christ, Payette; or to a favorite charity.
Friends may call today from 4 to 9 p.m. at the Shaffer-Jensen Chapel in Payette.
