OREGON SLOPE
Death of A. H. Sonner Saddens Oregon Slope Folks; 30-Year Resident
By CARLOTTA CAMPBELL
The community was saddended the past week by the sudden passing of one of our senior citizens, A. H. Sonner, who died after a heart attack suffered Wednesday. He had been a resident of the Slope for over thirty years except for a few years living in Payette. He was a charter member of the Oregon Slope Grange and had played an active part in the work of the organization and many other community projects. It had become a familiar sight to see Mr. Sonner working his flowers and lawn during the summer months when we would pass the home. The sympathy of the community is extended to the bereaved family and wish them to know that as members of the Oregon Slope community we share their loss as we have said our good-bye to a friend and neighbor.
Mr. and Mrs. M. B. Sonner were hosts to several out-of-town relatives arriving for the services of A. H. Sonner held Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. Leif Johnson and daughter, Rita of Seattle, Mrs. Johnson is a daughter of the late Mr. Sonner. Rex Sonner of Twin Falls, a son of the deceased and also guests were nephews and nieces from the Twin Falls and Caldwell area.
