Irvin Lee Sonner, son of A. H. Sonner and Rosa Sonner was born March 29, 1899 at Shenandoah, Iowa. He died at the family home at Payette, Idaho, March 23, 1946.
Mr. Sonner came with his parents to the Boise Valley in the fall of 1900 where he spent his childhood days until 1907 at which time the family moved to Twin Falls, Idaho, where he helped develop the farm from virgin soil and lived in that community and vicinity a number of years.
Later with his parents he came to the Payette-Oregon slope where he farmed with his father and brothers for eighteen years.
For the past year and a half he resided in Payette, Idaho.
He was a member of the I.O.O.F. lodge and the Oregon Slope grange. He worked faithfully in both organizations as long as his health would permit.
He is survived by his father, A.H. Sonner, step-mother, Zola Sonner, one sister, Lalla Johnson, Seattle, four brothers, Rex R. of Twin Falls, Idaho, Munith B. and Leonard E. of Payette and one niece Rita Johnson, Seattle.
Services were held at the Methodist church Monday afternoon with Rev. C. G. Hannan officiating.
Burial was at Riverside with the I.O.O.F. lodge in charge.
