Mrs. Rachel F. Stark

PAYETTE – Services for Mrs. Rachel F. Stark, 75, of Payette who died last Monday at her home was held Saturday at the Shaffer-Jensen Memory Chapel by the Rev. Jack Anderson of the First Baptist Church. Interment with graveside services by the Lorraine Chapter No. 20 Order of the Eastern Star was at Riverside.

She was born December 28, 1895, at Nooksack, Wash. Her mother died when she was a small child and she was raised by a sister in North Dakota where she grew up and attended school. She later moved to Washington and was married to William Harry Stark August 12, 1912 at Bellingham, Wash. They moved to Payette where they operated a cafe for over 40 years. Mr. Stark died in August, 1970. She was a member of the First Baptist Church and the Lorraine Chapter No. 20 Order of the Eastern Star.

Survivors include one son, Robert Stark of El Paso, Texas; one brother, Budd Tillotson, Wenatchee, Wash.; two grandsons and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by four brothers and one sister.
