PAYETTE - Mrs. Edna Stephenson, 81, resident of Payette died early Thursday morning at Casa Loma Nursing Home. Services are pending with Shaffer-Jensen Memory Chapel in Payette.

PAYETTE - Services for Edna Matthews Stephenson, 82, of Payette, who died Thursday at a Payette nursing home will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday at Shaffer-Jensen Memory Chapel, Payette by the Rev. Gale O'Neil of the First Baptist Church. Interment with graveside rites by Harmony Rebekah Lodge No 22 of Payette will be in Riverside Cemetery, Payette.
She was born Feb. 7, 1893, in Bozeman, Mont. She attended schools in Bozeman and was graduated from Bozeman High School. She attended Montana State and Western State College. She married H. J. Stephenson, May 15, 1920 in Livingston, Mont. She lived in Belgrade, Mont. for several years. She later moved to Helena, Mont., where she was matron for the Odd Fellows Home. She moved to the Payette area in 1944. She was a member of the First Baptist Church, the Harmony Rebekah Lodge No 22, a past president of the Rebekah Assembly of Montana, the Daughters of the American Revolution and a past member of the Porsche Club.
Surviving are her daughter, Mrs. Avery (Helen) Oglesbee of Payette; two grandsons, Gary and David Oglesbee, both of Payette; a brother, G. W. Calfee of Orlando, Fla.; and two great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband.
