Gerald M. "Jerry" Stradley, 67, Payette, passed away Friday, Jan 23, 2009 at his home after a hard-fought battle with cancer. Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 28, 2009 at Riverside Cemetery, Payette. Services and arrangements are under the direction of Shaffer-Jensen Memory Chapel, Payette. Jerry was born Jan 27, 1941 to Archie and Irene Stradley. He attended school in Caldwell and Ontario.

In 1958, he joined the U.S. Army and served three years in the Military Police. He returned to the Treasure Valley and married Patricia Wiles in 1962. They raised two daughters, Karie and Lyndsay.

Jerry was an extremely hard working man with a strong work ethic. He worked at Champion Home builders, H.H. Keim, owned and operated AmeriClean of Treasure Valley and retired from Snake River Correctional Institution in Ontario as a correctional officer.

Jerry had many hobbies. He loved hiking, fishing, backpacking, gardening, woodworking and spending time at his cabin with his 8-year-old granddaughter.

He will be loved and missed by his wife, Pat, of 46 years; his daughters, Karie (Robert) Trujillo, of Portland, and Lyndsay (Nick) Gastelecutto, of Boise; his granddaughter; Isabella Trujillo; several nieces and nephews; and his cousin, Connie Keller.

Jerry was preceded in death by his mother, father and sister, Sheryl.
