Mrs. Anna Strohbehn Called By Death

Mrs. Anna C. Strohbehn, widow of the late Bernhard Strohbehn who died in this city recently was born in Davenport, Iowa, Feb. 4, 1951.

On December 3, 1875 she was united in marriage to Bernhard Strohbehn in Scott county, Iowa, and lived in that state for 26 years, where all of their children were born.

In November, 1901 with the three youngest children they moved to Payette where they have continued to make the family home.

She was preceded in death by two small daughters and by her husband, Sept. 25, 1938.

She leaves to mourn her loss five daughters and one son: Mrs. Daisy Creswell, of Emmett; Mrs. Clara Albert, Reinbeck, Iowa; Mrs. Anna Plaehn, Reinbeck, Iowa; Ed B. Strohbehn, New Plymouth, Iowa (?); Mrs. Rose Solterbeck and Mrs. Louise Solterbeck, Payette; thirty grandchildren, twenty-three great grandchildren and one great, great grandchild.

She was a charter member of St. James(?) Evangelical church and was active in church work keeping the alter(?) decorated with flowers from her garden for many years.

Note: New Plymouth, Iowa is probably Idaho and St. James should read "She was a charter member of St. Johns Evangelical church…" Alter should read altar.
