Long Time Payette Resident Passes

Daniel Guy Stroup, passed away in Payette July 16, at the age of 67, following a long illness. He was born near Payette, the Washoe District, on June 6, 1885, and continued to live in this area until the time of his death.

He is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Jessie P. Moore, and Mrs. Alta Coughanour, both of Payette, and the following nieces and nephews: A. D. Stroup of Payette, Ben A. Stroup of Boise, John J. Stroup, St Maries, Joe Russell, San Francisco, Cal.; Mrs. Vida Helsley, Tooele, Utah, Mrs. Eunice Cheesbrough, Caldwell. Mrs. Sue Turley of Cochella, Cay., Mrs. Melba Gilehrist, Arenta, Cal., Mrs. Lois Johnson, Parma, and Mrs. Annabel Fuller, Jerome.

Mar. Stoup had lived in Payette all of his life. His parents, Mr. and Mrs. Treob Stroup, came to Washoe in 1873, where their seven children were born.

Funeral services were held Monday July 21, at 10:30 A. M. in the Shaffer Memory Chapel, Mrs. Lillian Glenn, Christian Science Reader.

Interment was in the Riverside Cemetery, under the direction of the Shaffer Memory Chapel.
