Sumpter Services Held Monday
Funeral services were held on Monday morning of this week for George S. Sumpter, who passed away at the Payette General hospital on Thursday of last week.
George Sheridan Sumpter was 79 years of age. He was born May 13, 1865 at Unionville, Mo., and in 1891 was married to Miss Sara Ann Dolly Pullin at Plattsbury, Mo. Mr. and Mrs. Sumpter came to Payette in 1893 and resided for many years on North Sixth street. Mrs. Sumpter passed away in August, 1931.
Deceased is survived by two sons, Raymond Sumpter of Tacoma, and Eles Leroy Sumpter, of Pasco, Washington; one daughter, Mrs. Ruth Chadd, of Nyssa and four grandchildren.
