Thornburg Rites Conducted Thursday
Services were conducted today (Thursday) for Jessie May Thornburg, 55 of Oregon Slope, who died Sunday at the Ontario Hospital. Shaffer Memory Chapel were in charge of arrangements with interment at Riverside.
She was born in Elgin, Ore. on May 13, 1901 and moved to the Oregon Slope community in 1939 from Enterprise, Ore. She was a member of the Christian church.
Survivors in addition to her husband, Cole Thornburg; are a son, Elwin J. Thornburg of Los Angeles; a daughter, Mrs. Charlotte Bosworth of Anchorage, Alaska; a sister, Mrs. Virgin Yarington of Elgin; her mother, Mrs. Lucy Ann McIntire of Elgin and two grandchildren.
