Richard Tooey, a bachelor 69 years old who has been living alone on a small island in the Snake river about five miles north of Payette, died at the Holy Rosary Hospital Friday, and his body brought to Payette Saturday where the funeral was held from Lauers Undertaking Parlor and interment made in the Riverside Cemetery. So far as can be learned he had no relatives. A letter was found in his posession written by his mother several years ago, in the east, who was at that time 95 years old.
