Elderly Lady Dies in Payette

PAYETTE - Annie Myrtle Watts, 90, died October 21, at a local hospital. She was born in Mahaska county, Iowa, January 12, 1860 coming to Payette Valley in 1900.

Her husband, Morris Watts died in 1944. Just preceding his death the two celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary. She was a member of the Rebekah Lodge, and the PNG Club.

Survivors are three daughters, Mrs. Cora Christian, Payette; Mrs. Kathleen Connell, Seattle: and Mrs. Elizabeth Harland, Payette; one son, Dr. Fred Watts, Creston, Iowa. Two daughters and one son preceded her in passing. Her survivors also include 18 grandchildren, 36 great grandchildren, and three great, great grandchildren.

The funeral services will be held on Wednesday, October 25, at 10:00 a.m. at the Shafer Memory Chapel, Payette. The Rev. Paul Felthouse will officiate and interment will be in the Riverside Cemetery, Payette.
