Clarence F. Wayne Called By Death

Clarence F. Wayne, 84, a long time resident of this city passed away at the Payette General hospital Monday.

Funeral services were held Thursday afternoon at the Church of God with the pastor, Rev. Harold Jacks officiating. Interment, directed by Landon’s was in Riverside cemetery.

Mr. Wayne was born near Peoria, Ill., Feb. 2, 1862. when he was three his family moved to Boscoville, Wisc. On April 30, 1893, he was married to Miss Cora Irene Lamb at Goodland, Kas. They later moved to Grand Junction, Colo. And after residing there for some time, came to the Boise and Caldwell sections of this state. From there they moved to Payette in 1901 where the family has been maintained since. His first wife passed away June 14, 1939 and he was later married to Mrs. Nancy Jane Gardner who died June 10, 1944.

He is survived by eight children; Edith Hall, Thomas and Theodore of Payette; Elsie Adams and Ruby Sundige of Baker; Lucile of Minnesota; Maxine of Yakima, Wash. And C. E. of Portland, Ore. There are also 13 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
