Mildred A. Williams
Services for Mildred A. Williams, 87, Payette, who died Sunday, June 2, 1985, in a Payette nursing home, will be conducted at 3 p.m. Friday in Shaffer-Jensen Chapel, Payette, with Elder William K. Mansker assisted by Elder Leon Cornforth of the Seventh-Day Adventist Church officiating. Private family interment will follow in Riverside Cemetery, Payette.
She was born, June 12, 1897 at Valley, Neb., the daughter of George and Elizabeth Growcock. She was reared and educated in Nebraska, graduating from Valley High School. She married Joseph M. Williams on Sept. 19, 1917 at Billings, Mont. They made their home in the Southwest part of the United States and in the Northwest before finally moving to the Oregon Slope in 1936. They moved to Payette in 1944. Mr. Williams died in 1976. She was a member of the Seventh-Day Adventist Church of Payette.
Survivors include a daughter, Rosetta Spencer of Payette; three half sisters, Clara Broz of Tacoma, Wash., Gertrude Stevenson and Vera Ambs both of Walla Walla, Wash.; five grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, two brothers and a sister.
Friends may call Thursday from 4 to 9 p.m. at Shaffer-Jensen Chapel in Payette.
