SPOKANE - Roger M. Wilson, 53, Liberty Lake, Wash., formerly of Payette, died Jan 26, 1988, in a Spokane hospital of natural causes. Memorial services will be today in Spokane. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at Shaffer-Jensen chapel, Payette with Rev. Bob Hefty of the First Methodist Church, Payette, officiating. Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery, Payette.
He was born May 21, 1934, at Cozad, Neb, a son of Clarence and Ellora Wilson. He moved with his family to Payette in 1936, where he was raised and educated. He graduated from Payette High School in the Class of 1952. He attended the University of Idaho for one year. In 1953, he married Harriet Davis. He served in the U.S. Air Force from 1954 to 1958. After the service he lived in Portland where he worked for a chemical company. In the early 1970's he began working Garrett-Calahan and moved to Denver, Colo. and Missoula, Mont. In 1973, he moved to Spokane and had lived there since. He married Phebbe Jensen on Oct. 1, 1983 at Payette. He enjoyed sports throughout his life. He was an alpine ski instructor when he was young and was an avid golfer.
Survivors include his wife, Phebbe of Liberty Lake; his parents, Clarence and Ellora Wilson of Payette; two sons, Jeff Dake of Albuquerque, N.M. and David Dake of Boise; two step-daughters, Kelli Muztako and Tiffani Gilbert, both of Spokane; three step children, Mike Griffits and Shere Meercatz, both of Los Angeles and Karen Street of Scottsdale, Ariz; a brother, Robert K. Wilson of Glendale, Ariz; two sisters, Mrs. Beverly (Brent) Frates of Payette and Barbara K. Wilson of Payette; four grandchildrenm, Dustin, Christina, Elaine and Danelle Dake and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by a son, Gary Dake on Oct 1, 1987.
