PAYETTE - Fay Wilson, 79, Payette, passed away June 7, 1998, at an Ontario hospital. Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Riverside Cemetery, Payette, under the direction of Shaffer-Jensen Memory Chapel, Payette.

Fay was born Oct 23, 1918, at Powell, Wyo to Charles and Myrtle Hoffman. She moved to Ontario with her family when she was a young girl. She was raised and educated in Ontario. On March 6, 1937, she married Harold William Wilson. They resided in Granite, Ore. working in the gold mines until 1941. Then they moved to Portland where Harold worked in the ship yards until 1945. After the war they returned to the Oregon Slope and then to Fruitland in 1955. Fay worked as a cook in the Fruitland School for more than 30 years until her retirement.

Fay gave of herself freely to neighbor and family, always there with gifts of flowers or baked goods. She spent hours in her yard and flowers and was the happiest there.

Survivors include a daughter, Donna (Wilson-Petross) Goodroad and her husband, Gary, of Fruitland; a son, Donald W. Wilson and his wife, Betty; seven grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; one brother, Alvin "Cy" Hoffman and his wife, Maxine; one sister-in-law, Lois Hoffman and two special friends, Charlotte Dahle and Ethel Parker.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two grandchildren and two brothers.
