Clarence Yount Dies Wednesday

Clarence C. Yount died at the Payette General hospital Wednesday evening, April 12. Mr. Yount had been in ill health for several years. Funeral arrangements will be announced from the Landon Funeral Home.

Clarence Yount was born in Dakota, Illinois, September 5, 1867, the son of Charles and Adelaide Yount. He was married in 1896 to Miss Barbara Kolar in Paperville, Illinois. Mr. Yount was a contractor by trade and followed that business most of his life. After he retired from active business he moved to Payette and purchased the place now known as the Whitely Island, where he and his wife lived for several years. He made his home in Payette most of the time since 1916. His wife died in November of 1932 while they were at Grants Pass, Oregon. At the time of his death he was living with his sister, Mrs. John Pearce of Payette. Besides Mrs. Pearce, Mr. Yount is survived by Mrs. Miles Farson, also of Payette.
